Cecchini aims high in Superstock 600 with Triumph
In 2006 he made his debut on big bikes in the Trofeo Metrakit but a major step forward came in 2008 when he scored a fourth place in the under-21 category of the Italian Supersport Championship on a Team Pro-Con Kawasaki ZX6R. Last year he got his first big break in the European Superstock 600 Championship on an Azione Corse Honda and this year he will remain with the same team, but on a Triumph Daytona 675 with which he will soon make his debut in a private test.
"I'm happy to have renewed with Azione Corse," declared Cecchini, one of the tallest guys in the paddock at 5'9". "I believed right from the start in the Triumph plan, I like the bike, and I also think that the idea of getting it tuned directly in the factory ParkinGO BE1 Racing team's workshops, can be a winning choice. I can't wait to get out on track to get familiar with the new bike and prepare in the best possible way for a season in which I want to make the best use of the experience gained during the past championship."
